Our client, The Adler and Allan Group provide a range of professional oil industry services and environmental services to a wide range of clients throughout the UK and Ireland. Their services consist of spillage response, disaster relief, fuel and tank installation, fuel distribution and polishing, waste management plus a range of complementary services that includes tank cleaning and testing, pollution prevention and emergency fuel deliveries.  They have highly trained teams, specialist equipment and vehicles located within their strategically important network of depots and treatment plants and are one of the UK’s leading oil and environmental service providers.

There is a requirement to recruit a Commercial Vehicle Fitter at the company’s workshop at Barking Logistics Centre.

This roll will involve the maintenance, repair and MOT preparation for Adler and Allan fleet of vehicles including the following:

• MAN, Iveco, Volvo & Daf fuel delivery vehicles and Vacuum Tankers.
• Petroleum regulated tankers, and various smaller commercial.
• You will also be required to maintain our varied van fleet and various items of plant.
• Tanker repair experience is not a requirement for this roll but advantageous.

The successful applicant will possess proven knowledge and experience of commercial vehicles, and should hold an appropriate qualification. Possessing City and Guilds or Btec qualifications would be a distinct advantage as would possession of a C&E license.

The hours of work are 9 hours per day, Monday to Friday with the opportunity to earn some overtime payments at the appropriate rates.

The rate of pay is £11.50 per hour plus an additional £1.00 per hour if the successful candidate possesses LGV licence.
