The client is a subsidiary of an international group operating from one site with a turnover of c£50 million and employing c350. It manufactures a broad product range on a batch production basis involving complex bespoke design elements and a wide variety of materials. As part of the senior team and reporting to the Operations Director this new role carries responsibility for planning the production for the factory, optimising lead times to customers and working towards a JIT culture in a complex, multi-material, multi-job, fast paced batch environment. The role involves significant interface with both supply chain management and the production control team and you will also review and improve data collection and the capacity planning tools used inside the factory.

Candidates will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be real team players. Ideally you will be graduate qualified, ambitious, hungry for success and relish the challenge of making your mark in the business through this newly created role. Importantly you will have worked in a batch production manufacturing environment and also have good experience with ERP.
