Our client is the only globally-active independent gasket manufacturer, supplying virtually all car manufacturers in Europe, North and South America as well as numerous Asian vehicle manufacturers. Emerging from the recession, they are now planning for significant future growth across all areas of engineering and are looking to appoint a Quality Engineer.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that customer quality expectations are implemented, monitored and exceeded.  They will work as part of a team and use their technical understanding of quality systems to generate and implement quality improvements throughout the organisation.   They will lead investigations into any quality concerns and ensure corrective measures are adopted.

The successful candidate will have experience of current automotive core tools and systems, TS16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8-D etc.  Good organisational, communication and problem solving skills are essential for this role as you will be required to interface with both internal and external customers.  You will be educated to HNC level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline and have previous experience within a similar role and industry.

The remuneration package with this role includes pension and private healthcare.
