It was recently reported that safety company and our client, Arco plans to boost Yorkshire’s economy by creating 200 jobs as part of its strategy to hit the £500m annual sales mark by 2025.
The firm, which already employs around 800 people in Hull, is also investing in its digital teams and expanding its retail operations in response to customer demand.

It has recently been reported that our recruitment partner, Card Factory has delivered a rise in full year revenues after growing its store network. Total group revenue during the year ended January 31 2017 grew by 4.3 per cent to £398.2m, driven by growth in the Card Factory store network, the company said.

New research by Totaljobs shows apprenticeships offer an attractive route into the workplace for job seekers, while 89% of businesses are encouraged to take advantage of the growing popularity of earn-as-you-learn opportunities.

House building giant Persimmon has notched up a healthy rise in full-year profit as it pointed to a “confident” housing market, despite concerns over Brexit.
Yorkshire’s biggest PLC said pre-tax profits rose 23% to £774.8 million in the year to December 31, while revenue rose 8% to £3.1 billion.

The employment rate is at a record 74.6% – the highest employment rate since records began in 1971.
Official figures released by the Office for National Statistics show that there are over 300,000 more people in work compared to the same time last year, and the number of women in work has risen to a record rate of 70.0%.
The latest statistics also show that unemployment continues to run at an 11-year low of just 4.8%, down by more than 900,000 since 2010.
