As one of our Procurement Category Managers, your major responsibility will be to work in close collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders to manage the end-to-end procurement and commercial requirements for specific spend categories, in particular, the Production division, covering engineering services supply to Aggregate Industries, including our Contracting division.

About the role
The main focus of this rewarding role will be working with end-users and internal departments to develop specifications, you’ll also be tasked with creating annual category strategy and execution plans including spend, market and supplier analysis. The Procurement Category Manager role also involves the management of tender, supplier and contract award/ implementation process.

Other key deliverables include:
• keeping up-to-date on performance targets through the maintenance of monthly progress reports
• identifying opportunities to rationalise and reduce the number of suppliers to an optimum level
• organising and running regular review meetings with end-users, stakeholders and suppliers

About you
- High levels of motivation, energy and enthusiasm
- Willingness to go the extra mile and work additional hours to achieve targets
- A professional approach to all stakeholders, with a real customer-focus
- Great organisational skills, especially around workload planning and consistently delivering to timescales
- Educated at least to ‘A’ Level (or equivalent), preferably with a Degree or equivalent qualification
