As a Commercial Lawyer (Up to 12 month fixed term contract) reporting to the Head of Legal (Terrestrial Broadcast & Company Secretarial), you will provide a commercially focused legal service to Arqiva’s Terrestrial Broadcast business unit in connection with existing contracts as well as new sales and bid opportunities all within the TV and Radio Broadcasting and Media sectors. This is an excellent customer and business facing role at the centre of Arqiva.

To be a successful Commercial Lawyer you will be professionally qualified either as a solicitor or barrister with relevant post-qualification experience of general commercial contracts and related commercial work, ideally within the Telecoms, Media and Technology Sector. We’d prefer some in-house experience but are more interested in your sound, up-to-date, relevant legal knowledge. Attributes we’re looking for include:

• Working well under pressure to high standards
• A clear ability to take action to minimise risk and add value
• Excellent drafting skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts with clarity, in writing and verbally
• The enthusiasm and energy to immerse yourself into the new business and technical challenges, supporting the development of new products and opportunities and applying existing law to new and innovative ideas.
• Very professional and continually looking to develop your expertise, you’ll adapt well to new tools and technologies. Your strong prioritising skills will complement your unflappable and personable approach when under pressure.

At Arqiva, our vision is to be central to every vital connection in a world which depends on a continuous stream of information. At the forefront of communications infrastructure and media services, we’re the people behind the scenes who make connections happen in the digital world. Our values are about being ingenious, straightforward and collaborative in a clear and simple way to enable us to go that extra mile for our customers.
