Senior Paralegal

Arqiva is offering a bespoke opportunity for an experienced Paralegal to work with commercial land law process within the Technology Industry.

Reporting to the Commercial Property Team Leader and a key member of the newly formed and expanding team you’ll work together under the supervision of a lawyer process and deliver commercial lease renewals, together with reports for management.

This role will support the business in the delivery of the Lease Renewals Improvement Project (LRIP) following the reform of the Electronic Communications Code. You will be proactive in chasing external providers (e.g. law firms, Surveyors) so we can deliver our caseload by the end of FY 19/20 as planned.

Other key accountabilities include:
• Accurately draft legal documents
• Setting up files and managing a caseload.
• Managing completion processes with Property Payables.
• Prepare, negotiate and conclude legal documents

With over 5 years’ experience within a legal team, you have been given responsibilities for tasks, including supervising junior paralegals/members of staff, completing documents and liaising with third parties effectively and proactively.

You are able to present clearly and confidently to colleagues and internal stakeholders and have good research skills with an ability to gather relevant information from a range of sources and manage and distribute knowledge effectively. You also have the ability to demonstrate an inquisitive and highly proactive approach while providing the right commercial insight & evaluation to multiple stakeholders
With excellent written, verbal, numerical and organisational skills and a strong eye for detail when dealing with volume matters, you can also offer:

• Ability to effectively prioritise and manage a caseload through to post-completion to achieve deadlines
• Capability and willingness to learn about the electronic communications industry and the associated legal framework
• First-class communication and interpersonal skills complement the gravitas to persuade and influence others including internal stakeholders and negotiating with landlord solicitors
• The ability to follow instructions of your line manager, the wider property solicitors and perform within the parameter of Service Level Agreement
