Technical Security Consultant - Media & Telecoms Infrastructure

Arqiva is responsible for the critical national infrastructure behind the UK’s TV, radio, telecoms and smart metering networks.

Our security team is expanding and going through a large transformation programme and we’re looking for someone to join the team of Technical Security Consultants who partner with our different business units (BU) and encourage two-way integration of information, ensuring standards and strategy are consistently aligned across the business. As a Technical Security Consultant you’ll manage workload expectations and resources and be an escalation point for any security issues where required. Providing security sign off for projects and products within Arqiva, this post aids the business unit and other teams in implementing solutions that meet the expected controls to ensure compliance to ISO27001 ISMS policies, regulatory or contractual obligations. You’ll drive and be a member of a team of Consultants who develop a full understanding of the business and their strategy as well as awareness of pipeline plans, enabling Security to be embedded from the start of every piece of work.

You’ll also:
• Deputise for the Head of Cyber Security were required
• Help define / update our security policies and Standards to keep Arqiva in the forefront of IT security best practice.
• develop and maintain good working relationships with all levels of your business units
• support technical teams with bid and product designs
• build teamwork internally and externally.

Eligible for SC clearance and with at least two of SABSA; CISSP; CISM; CCSP; CCP and/or CCPN – Security, you have a substantial track record in security design/architecture/consulting, delivering from requirements to build and transition. With experience managing and motivating teams and engaging and consulting with senior level business stakeholders you’re forward and strategically-thinking, with an analytical approach and able to maintain technology and standards, ensuring information and knowledge are up-to-date. With a sound understanding and experience of working with ISO27001, PCI DSS, DPA/GDPR and with awareness of HMG standards, you also:

• produce clear periodic reporting documentation
• keep abreast of new and emerging technologies and techniques
