Site Maintenance Operative

Reporting to the Area Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for the general site maintenance, supervising specialist FM contractors, repair duties and tasks within technical buildings.

Field-based across South West England with main office in Winchester, Hampshire, United Kingdom
£23,500 - 28,500 plus 5% bonus + corporate benefits package

As Site Maintenance Operative for the South West of England, you'll be responsible for providing 1st level support for emergency building / site FM repairs as well as performing physical security inspections to ensure that the requirements of the Arqiva Security Policy are maintained. This will involve: performing planned site maintenance tasks and inspections on allocated sites / buildings, ensuring works are undertaken to all safety procedures and regulations and providing supervision of facilities related contractors as required in restricted areas.

Other key responsibilities include:

• Performing sample site quality inspections on sites allocated to third-party contractors
• Delivering building, fence and gate repairs as required
• Providing support to the delivery of building related maintenance/security related projects
• Performing meter reads and support the resolution of utilities queries as required

As one of Site Maintenance Operative's working in the South of England alongside a team of 18 engineers and technicians you will have the independence to often work alone and have strong problem-solving skills and initiative. Your main office will be Winchester but you will be mainly field based with daily travel across the South West of England

Other skills include:

• Ability to perform 1st line repairs, supervision of contractors and compliance checks along with responsibility for cleaning and maintenance across a wide number of areas
• General knowledge of Building Maintenance would be desirable.

Nominal hours will be 8.30 – 17:00 but with a need for flexibility with some overtime working.
