What is the role?

The role of the Audio Visual Assistant is to support the Media department and be responsible for producing video content for Southampton Football Club’s online and in-stadia channels. You will work within a team, helping to provide coverage of numerous club events (i.e. matches, press conferences, training sessions etc.)

The role will include filming, editing and putting together the final content that is uploaded onto all outgoing media platforms. You will also have the responsibility for enhancing the club’s coverage of academy teams via social platforms and the club website.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative candidate with a passion for film and football broadcasting. You will need to have a positive and hardworking approach and be willing to work unsociable hours in a demanding yet exciting role.

You will need to have the relevant qualifications and be exceptional with the use of IT software, including the latest video production technologies.

The competencies which are required include:



• Experience in an Audio & Visual working environment.

• A strong understanding of Final Cut Pro X is essential.

Qualifications (incl. certifications):

• Qualification in broadcast production.

• Good time management skills.

• Strong understanding of football broadcasting and what fans want to view

• Positive approach with a hardworking ethic

• Flexible in terms of working hours

• Exceptional IT skills; competent in all new and existing production technologies

• Understanding of quality and attention to detail in delivery

• Enthusiastic and a passion for the role.



• Experience in Adobe Photoshop would be an advantage
