Systagenix’s longstanding commitment to skin and wound care began with innovative wound care products developed by the experienced team of R&D Scientists at their Gargrave Centre of Excellence for Wound Healing in North Yorkshire. As Manufacturing Quality Manager, reporting to an off-site Director of Quality and operating within an internal matrix structure, you will have responsibility for a team of c.12 colleagues including quality control, quality engineering and laboratory specialists and a key requirement is to bring leadership, motivation and development to this specialist team.

You will also provide management support to all supplier and manufacturing quality activity, including Wound Management and Laboratories. Acting as lead in QSR, ISO/MDD and other country-specific standards, you’ll promote awareness of best industry practice, supporting and enhancing the quality management system and processes, both on-site and across the corporation, helping drive new quality initiatives and in the rollout of those initiatives across the site. You’ll also manage and provide technical guidance to other quality and manufacturing support colleagues, in addition to:

- lead all external regulatory audits within your remit and supporting regulatory submissions
- providing guidance on completion of non-conforming material reports, deviations and change orders
- driving changes to facilitate work efficiency, simplify processes and maintain/improve quality

With a degree-level qualification in Quality, Engineering, Science or another related subject, you must have a proven quality track record within a similar regulated environment ideally or medical devices/pharmaceutical/food or possibly aerospace. This will be underpinned by thorough knowledge and understanding of FDA, ISO 13485 and other regulatory, country-specific standards. You must have an organised and methodical approach, together with strong, all-round communication skills. Your pro-active approach complements your ability to plan and prioritise, whilst meeting tight deadlines and your flexibility around core hours to ensure that high standards are met.
