What is the role?

We have an exciting opportunity as the Head of Pricing and Planning at Southampton Football Club. This role focuses on planning the sales and commercial road map across all the sales functions as well as determining how we price across key fan areas, such as stadium ticketing through to Hospitality. Determining how we price our season tickets, to planning the future priorities of the commercial team, this role is core to how we progress our revenue streams. In addition to this you will lead and manage our ticketing and membership teams.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with an analytical eye, coupled with strong organisational skills; you will comfortably model different pricing scenarios, not be afraid to challenge the status quo, but fundamentally understand how to improve profitability whilst always have an eye into the future.

The competencies which are required include:

Essential Experience:
• Experience in a Senior Pricing Manager role or equivalent.
• Planning / Project Manager role

Desirable Experience:
• Experience in pricing for a sporting company / events / travel industry.
• Essential Qualifications (including certifications):
• Analytical degree.

Desirable Qualifications (including certifications):
• A Level Maths or similar.

Essential Skills:
• Analytical and excited by data and insights to drive a pricing strategy.
• Extremely competent at excel with skills to run macros, financial modelling etc.
• A track record of delivering price changes and transformational pricing structures.
• An ability to influence at all levels.
• Attention to detail.
• Comfortable with numbers, modelling, data, and scenario planning and profitability
• Pricing experience of product and / or services, with a particular focus on demand cycles and planning.
• Organised and structured – you will lead the sales quarterly planning cycle, so you need to be on the front foot
