It’s an exciting time at P&O Cruises with the largest ever ship built for the British market currently under development and due for launch in 2020. As our Interior Architect – you will be at the heart of the design of this incredible ship. The Carnival UK hotel design team, responsible for interior development and styling of the P&O Cruises fleet, are currently working alongside experienced maritime designers and award winning hospitality interior architects to design a new class of cruise ship; innovative and creative, catering for new and existing British guests.

We are recruiting an knowledgeable Interior Architect to ensure our early stage conceptual designs will become a reality.

This role focuses on:
• interior brand design development to a fixed budget
• coordination with design consultants and operational and brand requirements
• design drawing and specification review and approval

Reporting to the Director of Hotel Design & Projects, you will liaise with Head of New Build Architecture, taking responsibility for delivering coordinated interior designs across a wide range of different spaces from guest rooms, dining and entertainment, retail and spa. A reliable and professional designer with extensive experience designing and managing large scale brand hospitality interior design projects, you will have excelled in a design role to date.
Naturally, you will join us with extensive experience designing and managing large scale brand hospitality interior design projects and will be organised and efficient in your work.

About You

• recognised degree/qualification in Interior Design
• hospitality interior design including complex design coordination from concept to completion on site
• Good technical designer with experience delivering interior designs to meet brand and operational standards or
brief
• Promotes excellence in design and is a good creative problem solver
• Ability and confidence to propose and discuss technical and creative design solutions with experienced external
consultants and brand executive teams
• Ability to deliver designs according to original/approved brand concepts, on time and on budget
• A strong team player, able to prioritise and work flexibly to meet business demands
Ideally, you will come from a Maritime interior design background, but this is not essential.
