Your new purpose (in a nutshell)?
Working within the Cloud Adoption Team you will be responsible for leading the creation, documentation and implementation of a new Cloud (AWS) framework in relation to Support and Operational activities.

The new framework will be created by working with Architecture, Delivery, Infrastructure, Commercial and Security functions within IPF Group.

What you will be required to deliver in your new role?

This role provides a unique opportunity to lead transformational change with large Enterprise customers in their journey to cloud.

Support Model Creation and Implementation
• To work with both the Cloud Adoption Team and key stakeholders to agree roles and responsibilities across AWS
• To apply your expert knowledge of AWS Operations in a review of existing support processes including, but not limited to, Incident Management, Access Management, Monitoring and Alerting, Release and Deployment Management in order to create an AWS support model
• To provide knowledge and insight around best practices of AWS Operations in other organisations
• Represent AWS well within IPFs environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation
• Design and Implement Operational Processes to support the architecture designs and standards for AWS
• Designing the support model around cloud platform architecture using AWS IaaS Technologies such as EC2, S3, EBS, ELB, VPC, Route 53
• Creation of a new Organisational structure including resource requirements and associated costs
• Documentation of new support processes / Updating existing support processes
• Planning and Implementation of new support framework

Stakeholder Management
• Building strong relationships with senior executives and enterprise teams to understand goals and required outcomes
• To work alongside the existing Service Delivery Team to review and bring together the existing support processes with any new processes in the world of Cloud
• Assist in defining enterprise operating models (enterprise architectures) for AWS and driving buy-in across complex organization structures.
• Present recommendations on the future support model for Cloud services to senior stakeholders
• Defining Communication and Escalation points

Other
• To provide input into Delivery Model for AWS
• Produce and update Service Project Plans
• Service RAID log updates
• Helping shape IPFs cloud strategy, cloud transformational roadmaps and changes in working practices (e.g. moving to a faster more agile release cycle)
• Work with the Enterprise Architects to formulate the cloud platform delivery and strategic roadmap.

Expected Deliverables?

• Agreed and approved BAU Support Model for AWS services
• Proposal on organisation structure to support the BAU Support Model


What skills are we looking for?

Qualifications:
• ITIL qualified to “Foundation” level
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner & AWS Certified SysOps Administrator

Skills:
• Strong negotiation, influencing and relationship management skills including during pressured situations
• Strong internal stakeholder management expertise
• Excellent process creation and documentation skills
• Presentation and reporting
• Strong time management and communication, inclusive of ability to communicate with senior management

Knowledge:
• Expert knowledge of IT Service Transition and Service Design, tools and techniques
• Expert knowledge of Operational Processes and Activities (BAU) within AWS Environments
• Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services Infrastructure and security solutions with deep technical subject matter expertise and practical experience in: EC2, IAM, EBS, S3, RDS, VPC, ELB, Route53, Lambda.
• Strong understanding of Enterprise IT, including strategy, enterprise architecture, governance, operations, SDLC and DevOps

Experience:
• Strong experience in an AWS support role
• Strong experience working within Operations
• Experience in the creation and documentation of Support Processes
• Experienced at working in international, multi-vendor situations
• Experience in establishing shared service centers and Centers of Excellence for Cloud operations
• Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, GDPR etc.)

Other:
• Some travel within Europe may be required
