Your new purpose (in a nutshell)?
This role operates as a Cloud Infrastructure Architect for IPF Group, accountable for the design and delivery of Amazon hosted cloud infrastructure components in line with the IPF Strategy and aligned to the strategic cloud design.

You will be equally as comfortable building a POC of a new solution as ‘picking up the pen’ and sketching an idea on a whiteboard to an agile team.

You will work closely with the Project teams, to provide direction, prioritisation and technical insight in articulating and delivering architectural choices within various AWS services and solution methodologies

Responsible for delivering the appropriate technology solutions across cloud Infrastructure platforms and to contribute to the delivery of the Group IT Strategy.

You will be accountable for:
• Work with the Enterprise Architects to formulate the cloud platform delivery and strategic roadmap.
• Design and delivery technical solutions on AWS that address IPFs requirements for scalability, reliability, security and performance.
• Help set the technical direction of the cloud platform ensuring the technical / architectural integrity of the platform
• Build, deploy and administer/manage the current and new AWS environments and features in respect of the Standards defined by the Group
• Designing low level cloud platform architecture using AWS IaaS Technologies such as EC2, S3, EBS, ELB, VPC, Route 53, supporting product-quality software on AWS including designing for high availability, building multi-account, multi-zone and multi-region architectures, and designing across appropriate SQL and NoSQL data layer technologies.
• Verification and impact assessments of cloud Infrastructure change requests
• Cooperate with other Infrastructure Architects and Delivery Managers to deliver agreed goals and roadmaps
• Assists with and respond to relevant internal and external audits
• Analyse risk related to cloud infrastructure components and provide mitigations for them
• Ensuring performance of the cloud infrastructure and its monitoring and reporting
• Deliver the appropriate technology solutions in a variety of cloud infrastructure technology areas
• Provides expert advice and consultation on the cloud infrastructure implementation and support
• Work with third party suppliers and products, as well as in-country IT teams to identify and deliver appropriate IT Infrastructure technologies and solutions.
• Participate on the relevant IT governance bodies where relevant
• Gain approval for platform solutions and technology selections at the Technical Design Authority
• Maintaining Automated Compliance Framework to ensure DevOps teams use AWS securely and efficiently

What skills are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Certified DevOps Engineer

• Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services Infrastructure and security solutions with deep technical subject matter expertise and practical experience in: EC2, IAM, EBS, S3, RDS, VPC, ELB, Route53, Lambda.
• Strong understanding of the IT industry trends
• Strong knowledge of the latest solutions and approaches in the world of information technology
• ITIL understanding
• Practical knowledge of IT Project management
• Delivery of IT solutions for a medium or large organization

• Experience as a hands-on technical practitioner/specialist in client facing roles in large enterprises and proven client facing consulting skills, including building strong client relationships.
• At least 2 years of experience in working in International disbursed teams
• Driving the design and delivery of IT Infrastructure services
• Experienced at working in international, multi-vendor situations
• At least 5 years of experience in managing IT Infrastructure, ideally come from a DevOps / Cloud engineering background
