Your new purpose (in a nutshell)
In this role you will be responsible for the whole process of building predictive models from gathering business requirements to implementation. Our office is based in Warsaw but it supports the entire IPF Group (all countries, functions and businesses) with the objective of building predictive models that ensure high profitability of the lending business.

You will be a part of a newly created data analysts’ team responsible for the set-up and expansion of our stand-alone data & analytics functions. The team will consist of both junior and senior analysts so you can apply regardless of your experience.

In our team you will be responsible for:
• Discovering relationships between data and various aspects of performance in the following areas: marketing, credit, fraud, finance, human resources etc.
• Working with the IPF Group to create a broader group strategy and approach towards the application and use of ‘Big Data’, machine learning and other forms of artificial intelligence.
• Proactively developing and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders as well as data & analytics thought leaders across an international landscape to ensure that we are driven by innovative thinking, technical advances and new ideas .
• Working with the broader data & analytics team to ensure there is a clear business plan in place that delivers cost-effective sustainable growth in customer numbers, receivables, revenue and profit.
• Setting up the appropriate systems, mechanisms and processes for testing data sets and for gaining actionable analytical insights.

What do we need from you?
• Not all requirements are essential – your future position will be adjusted to your experience.
• MSc degree in the field of Computer Science, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or another quantitative discipline
• Significant experience in working with large and varied data sets obtained from multiple sources (including new digital sources)
• Experience in statistical modelling and/or machine learning
• Experience in applying data science methods to business problems and curiosity to understand what data can tell
• Programming experience in R or Python (Essential)
• Knowledge of database architecture (SQL)
• Presentation and communication skills, with a knack for explaining complex analytical concepts to people from other fields
• Fluency in verbal and written business English
• Ability to travel internationally (Essential)
• Experience in working within an international environment in Financial Services(Desirable)
