As Purchasing Manager reporting to our Head of Sourcing, you’ll lead, manage and develop the strategic sourcing for raw materials and worktops to meet our requirements for cost, quality, delivery and design. Responsible for a budget of c.£80m with 60 vendors and with three direct reports, you’ll source, develop and manage the relationships with an international supply base, delivering year-on-year cost improvements through effective negotiation and supply base management. The Purchasing Manager role also involves:
• developing long- and mid-term supplier agreements
• working cross-functionally and with the supply base to guarantee supply
• liaising with our manufacturing, product development and technical teams to identify new raw material opportunities and new products.

With a significant procurement track record within a dynamic manufacturing environment, you’re a strong leader able to take a strategic approach based on sound business acumen. In addition to cost efficiencies, you’re also skilled at improving design, delivery and quality through leadership of your supply base. A good project manager, in addition to thinking and acting strategically with suppliers in the face of extreme short-term cost pressures and targets, you can nevertheless manage the day-to-day operational issues alongside long-term strategic plans.
