Role: Project Manager/Quantity Surveyor
Location: Huddersfield

The I&G team has recently joined Sewell Group, a regional Hull-based family organisation founded in 1876. I&G is a sister company to Sewell Construction, and is provided with central support services. As a result Sewell will manage the recruitment and selection process in conjunction with I&G, and the final candidate will be employed with I&G, not directly with Sewell.

Role Overview:
Working with both private and public sector clients, management, and the wider I&G and Sewell family, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to showcase their ability to multitask across every environment.
As a Project Manager/Quantity Surveyor (PMQS) at I&G, the successful candidate will be involved in actively meeting the challenges that come with being a key player in the success of cultivating business relationships.

On a day to day basis, the successful candidate will;
• Directly manage and oversee several construction projects from conception to completion while monitoring compliance with safety and building regulations.
• Coordinate subcontractors and the construction team to meet contractual conditions of performance.
• Manage and coordinate staff levels to ensure the smooth delivery of
construction projects and meet budget requirements.
• Prepare external and internal reports relating to job status, daily progress, programming, valuations and estimating.
• Communicate with the responsible parties to ensure quality construction
exceeds company standards.
• Procure materials including hire and all other associated requirements for the delivery of the construction projects.
• Review projects on a daily basis to ensure quality construction standards exist and estimates remain within budget.
• Communicate and coordinate with the Site Management team to ensure projects are completed on time and exceed the customer’s requirements.
• Work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment to plan and coordinate all aspects of the building process from hiring contractors to working with the client and their project team.
