Research from specialist professional recruiter Robert Walters has revealed that 31% of employers plan to hire more HR professionals in the second half of 2017 than the first.
Many firms are looking to grow, with 43% of employers saying that business growth will drive their hiring strategies in the second half of the year, and HR professionals are in demand to support expanding teams.
The research also found that demand for mid-level professionals was highest with 89% of businesses planning to hire HR professionals at this level.

As the range of business apprenticeships increase, offering today’s school leavers the opportunity to learn business skills such as accountancy on the job, almost half of those reviewing their future this year considered apprenticeships as an alternative to university.
Over 1,400 students nationwide, aged 16-19, who were taking part in the ICAEW business skills competition (BASE) regional finals, were asked if they would consider apprenticeships rather than going to university:

It has recently been reported that our recruitment partner, Card Factory has delivered a rise in full year revenues after growing its store network. Total group revenue during the year ended January 31 2017 grew by 4.3 per cent to £398.2m, driven by growth in the Card Factory store network, the company said.
